Associate Spotlight...David A. Broll
David Broll joined Creative Financial Group (CFG) in 2001 after 20 years of sales, marketing, and strategic planning across a number of businesses. David was Executive Vice President of his family’s Pepsi Cola bottling business until its sale in 1989 back to the Pepsi Cola Company. He later joined Andersen Consulting and helped build their Strategic Services practice in Philadelphia, creating strategic operating plans for entities as diverse as Publix Supermarkets, DuPont, and the City of Philadelphia itself. In addition, he helped build several entrepreneurial businesses including a sales and marketing company with distribution rights throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for Snapple Beverages. David graduated from Dartmouth College in 1980 with a focus in Economics. He later earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In 2002, David became a Master’s Qualifier and then in 2003 became Chairman’s Council Qualifier – the two most prestigious awards in the financial industry.
“My transition into the financial services industry has been both challenging and rewarding. The early success I’ve enjoyed can be directly linked to CFG’s unique mentorship and marketing team strategies.”
Differentiating CFG from the competition by offering unique products, programs and services also attracts high-quality recruits. “You have to continually attract excellent people,” advises Joseph V. Naselli, President, CEO and a founding partner of CFG. “If we can deliver an advanced marketing firm model that is entrenched in target marketing, offers resource networks, provides a successful mentorship program and features a Web-based financial planning [the Wealth Navigator System] delivery system, the best professionals and the best clients are going to come to us."

Who We Are Looking For…
While it takes a certain person to become successful in the financial services industry, there is really no set requirement as to their type of experience. Our associates come from a variety of backgrounds and industries including accounting, law, banking, sales, food, pharmaceuticals and retail to name a few. However, all of these individuals have similar profiles and traits that are essential to someone considering a career in our industry. They include:
- A strong entrepreneurial spirit
- A strong competitive edge
- A high level of determination
- The ability to be an independent thinker
- A creative problem solver
- A professional image
- High income goals
- A team player
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A dynamic personality
While these are just some of the characteristics that we have found in our associates, not all are required to become successful in this industry. If either you, or someone among your personal or business acquaintances fits this description, we would welcome the opportunity to meet them and discuss how we can help them discover a rewarding career at CFG.
Associate Spotlight… Roman McDonald
Roman McDonald joined Creative Financial Group (CFG) in 1998 after working at DLJ Direct where he was responsible for client trading. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Roman attended Lehigh University where he was captain of their 1995 Patriot League Championship football team. Roman graduated from Lehigh University in 1996 with a B.S. in Inter-national Finance. His leadership skills now allow him to oversee CFG’s multi-cultural marketing initiative. “Early on I realized the need for financial services—especially in the affluent multi-cultural markets. The services, intellectual capital and resources that Creative Financial Group provides its client base are the core reasons why I joined this firm”, states Roman.
Roman is a current member of the Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors National and Montgomery County chapters and is actively involved in the Variety Club and Children’s Hope Foundation. He also holds memberships with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and the African American Chamber of Commerce.
Roman resides in Havertown, PA with his wife, Elana and their son, Roman Jr.
What differentiates CFG from the competition? “Unlike other producer groups that focus primarily on contracts with carriers and payout, we at CFG have combined our resources to accomplish a top contract along with a proprietary software system, which helps us manage our clients’ affairs”, explains Gary. “Additionally, for our clients, we provide a unique platform of information in their specific industries, as well as opportunities for them to network with their peers and receive ideas, thus expanding their own businesses. Our producers enjoy benefits from a practice management system that enhances their ability to focus on their unique skills, while leveraging their client relationships through teams of specialists and our concierge client manager service. Our industry-leading mentorship system enhances their ability to grow vertically and enjoy a wonderful life style without the burden of 60 to 80 hour work weeks to maintain top level production."
