A 1979 graduate of Temple University with a degree in Business Administration, James Cleary earned a dual major in Business Law and Finance.  He brings a global approach to estate planning and wealth management strategies and has extensive knowledge in the area of executive benefit planning for corporations.

After beginning his career in advertising, Jim joined Creative Financial Group in 1982 and was quickly named “Rookie of the Year” by one of the nation’s leading financial services companies.  Throughout his career, Jim has qualified for top industry honors, including the prestigious Chairman’s Council every year since 1999.  He is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table and seven-time winner of the Flagship Award, given to the top New England Financial producer in the country.

 Jim has also received the most prestigious awards given by MetLife, one of the largest financial institutions in the world.  In both 2006 and 2007 Jim was named the top planner and producer out of a field of over 8500 professionals in the world.  He was also one of ten producers to be inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2007 and Jim won the Triskelion Award in 2007 as the top producer over a three-year period.  He has been featured in many industry publications including the Wall Street Journal, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Jim has been instrumental in leading Creative Financial Group’s Mentorship Program, which transfers knowledge to younger members of the firm and heads the Legacy Planning Team of Creative Financial Group.  Jim lives in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania with his wife and six children and is active in community affairs and charitable organizations throughout the Delaware Valley.
