Mr. Burns is a 1993 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Speech Communication. 

Mr. Burns has received many of the most prestigious company awards with the Creative Financial Group including Managing Associate of the year in 2001 and 2002. He is very involved with his community as an active coach affiliated with Tredyffrin Easttown Youth Soccer Association, Devon Strafford Little League, and involved in Malvern Basketball League. He is also as CCD Catechist teacher at Saint Isaac Jogues of Valley Forge. Mr. Burns is also very involved with Valley Forge Elementary School.

He resides in Fort Washington with his wife Lisa, and their four children Lauren, Alexis, James III, and Joseph.
